Brake service and repair in Dorchester
Brakes are the one part of the car you do not guess about. We do pad replacement, rotor resurfacing and full brake inspections, because your safety comes first. If you hear a noise or feel something different in the pedal, come in before it turns into something bigger.

What is included
Three things, done properly.
- Brake pad replacement. New pads fitted, and the old pads back to you if you ask.
- Rotor resurfacing. When a rotor is warped but still within spec, we machine it flat instead of replacing it.
- Full brake inspection. Pads, rotors and the rest of the system, with a plain explanation of what we found and what actually needs replacing.
Signs you need it
What the car is telling you, and how urgent it is.
- A high-pitched squeal when you brake
Most pads have a metal wear indicator that sings when the pad is getting low. Early warning.
- Grinding URGENT
The pad is usually worn through and metal is on metal. Come in now.
- Pulsing in the pedal or the steering wheel
Typically a rotor that is no longer flat.
- A soft, spongy pedal, or one that sinks to the floor URGENT
Do not wait on this one.
- The car pulls to one side when you brake
One side is doing more of the work than the other.
- A brake warning light, or longer stopping distances
Either one is a reason for an inspection.
- A rule of thumb on pads
New pads start around 10 to 12 mm, and many technicians recommend replacing them around 3 to 4 mm.
What to expect
We inspect first and tell you what actually needs replacing. You get a written estimate and sign it before any work starts, your old parts come back to you if you ask, and the bill is itemized. That is how every job here goes.
